Senior Coordinator for Atlantic Cooperation Ambassador Jessye Lapenn hosted the second virtual meeting of senior representatives from 45 Atlantic coastal countries on September 6, 2023, to discuss the draft Declaration on Atlantic Cooperation, which builds upon the Joint Statement issued last September on the margins of the UN General Assembly. The Declaration on Atlantic Cooperation and Action Plan are intended to launch a Partnership for Atlantic Cooperation later this month in New York.

The Atlantic states that joined the meeting reflected a shared a commitment to a peaceful, prosperous, open, and cooperative Atlantic region that will remain a healthy and environmentally resilient resource for generations to come.
