Senior Malaysian officials visited Arizona and California from May 22-26 to learn from U.S. clean energy experts, including visits to the Sunset Reservoir solar array in CA and a Tesla Megapack battery storage facility in AZ.  PSP partner, the U.S. Energy Association, facilitated meetings with the CA Strategic Growth Council and San Francisco Public Utilities Commission, whose members discussed strategies for ensuring an equitable energy transition, community choice energy programs, and tools for de-risking projects.  In meetings with First Solar, Arizona State University’s Laboratory for Energy and Power Solutions, Arizona Public Service (electric utility), and the Arizona Corporation Commission (regulator), discussions focused on connecting large-scale variable renewable energy to the grid.
