On behalf of the Government of the United States of America, I warmly wish the people of the Kyrgyz Republic a joyous Kyrgyz Independence Day on August 31.

We remain steadfast in our commitment to the Kyrgyz Republic’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and independence. We look to the future with hope as we continue to strengthen our economic, security, and people-to-people ties, increase women’s economic security, and expand our clean energy cooperation. The United States will continue to work with the people of the Kyrgyz Republic and their government to support institutions that contribute to a free and healthy society. As the people of the Kyrgyz Republic usher in 32 years of independence, we look forward to achieving our shared goal of a resilient, prosperous, and secure Kyrgyz Republic and a strong U.S.-Kyrgyz partnership.

On this day, we honor the people of the Kyrgyz Republic and wish them happy Independence Day.
