There were two press releases or notices published by the U.S. Department of State, Office of International Religious Freedom in February.

The most recent release, "IRFBA Chair’s Statement on the Anniversary of Russia’s Invasion of Ukraine," was submitted on Feb. 24.

The U.S. Department of State, Office of International Religious Freedom published five the month before, marking a 60 percent decrease for the current month.

The U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom reviews the facts and circumstances of violations of religious freedom internationally and makes policy recommendations to the President, the Secretary of State and Congress.

The office records "Countries of Particular Concern" for "engaging in or tolerating systematic, ongoing and egregious violations of religious freedom."
