WASHINGTON - U.S. Senator Jim Risch (R-Idaho), ranking member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, today applauded Senate passage of a tax treaty with Chile.

“Today’s bipartisan Senate passage of a tax treaty with Chile is an important step in ensuring U.S. investors in Chile are not subjected to unfair double taxation. In particular, this will be beneficial for deepening mining cooperation of critical minerals and will complement our existing trade agreement with Chile," said Risch. “I hope the president will ratify this treaty quickly."
