On June 23, 2023, Secretary Antony J. Blinken will co-host the Anniversary Ministerial of the Los Angeles Declaration on Migration and Protection with Foreign Minister Eamon Courtenay of Belize at the World Bank headquarters in Washington, D.C. Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas and other senior U.S. government officials will join Secretary Blinken in commemorating the one-year anniversary of the Los Angeles Declaration on Migration and Protection. This framework is a landmark regional commitment responding to historic levels of irregular migration and forced displacement in the Americas.

During this Ministerial, Secretary Blinken will highlight achievements over the past year and look ahead to next steps on ensuring humane migration management and protection in the region.
