United States Trade Representative Katherine Tai today met with France’s Minister of Economy, Finance and Recovery, Bruno Le Maire, ahead of the OECD Ministerial Council Meeting.
Ambassador Tai provided an update on the negotiations with the European Union on a global arrangement on steel and aluminum trade. She expressed her hope that both sides can work together to reach a high standard, ambitious agreement this year.
Ambassador Tai and Minister Le Maire noted the strong cooperation between the United States and France on a range of issues and pledged to continue strengthening the bilateral trade relationship in the months ahead.
