Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs Brian A. Nichols will travel to The Bahamas, on June 8-9. Assistant Secretary Nichols will accompany Vice President of the United States Kamala Harris for her trip to the region to discuss climate resilience, energy and food security, and economic prosperity with Caribbean leaders. This trip also celebrates the 50th anniversary of bilateral relations between the United States and The Bahamas.

On June 9, Assistant Secretary Nichols will provide remarks at the U.S.-Caribbean Partnership to Address the Climate Crisis 2030 (PACC 2030) Climate Resilient Clean Energy Summit hosted by the Atlantic Council’s Caribbean Initiative.
