Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield, U.S. Representative to the United Nations, met today in Reykjavik with Icelandic Prime Minister Katrin Jakobsdóttir. Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield thanked Iceland for its leadership in hosting the Fourth Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Council of Europe. The Ambassador and Prime Minister emphasized the strong and enduring bilateral relationship between the United States and Iceland and discussed our cooperation on the climate crisis, strengthening global human rights and gender equality, and supporting European security.
