Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken met with Finnish Foreign Minister Pekka Haavisto today, in Helsinki. Secretary Blinken thanked the Foreign Minister for Finland’s continued support to Ukraine and reiterated the long and close relationship the United States shares with Finland. The two leaders reaffirmed support for Sweden’s NATO accession before the July NATO Summit in Vilnius, Lithuania. They also discussed shared global priorities, including promoting a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
