During a meeting today in Mauritius, Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources Richard Verma and Opposition Leader Xavier-Luc Duval, joined by other opposition party representatives, discussed the importance of a vibrant opposition, the rule of law, respect for human rights, freedom of expression, and a free press in a democracy.
