Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security Bonnie D. Jenkins will travel to the Republic of Korea (ROK), May 29-June 2. The Under Secretary will lead the U.S. Delegation to the Proliferation Security Initiative (PSI) High-Level Political Meeting (HLPM) and continue the commitment of the United States to strengthen and expand the PSI, now in its 20th year, to ensure that it remains an effective tool to stop the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, their delivery systems, and related items.

At the HLPM, Under Secretary Jenkins will deliver the U.S. National Statement, hold bilateral meetings with counterparts from participating states, and attend a multilateral maritime interdiction exercise that demonstrates regional counterproliferation capabilities at sea. The Under Secretary will also attend bilateral meetings with ROK counterparts in Seoul.
