Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken met today with New Zealand Prime Minister Chris Hipkins in Port Moresby to discuss the importance of U.S. and New Zealand engagement with the Pacific. The Secretary and Prime Minister also discussed their commitment to democratic principles and the international rules-based order.

The Secretary and the Prime Minister also reiterated their commitment to addressing the climate crisis and deepening economic cooperation through the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework.
