On behalf of the United States of America, I offer my sincere wishes to the people of Yemen on their 33rd National Unity Day on May 22.

Through intensive diplomacy, the United States steadfastly supports the UN-led peace effort to advance a Yemeni-Yemeni political process to durably resolve the conflict, reverse the humanitarian crisis, and address Yemenis’ calls for justice, accountability, and redress for human rights violations and abuses.

I reaffirm the U.S. commitment to helping Yemenis create a brighter future for their country - building upon the 13-month calm afforded by the UN-mediated truce of April 2022.

I wish you all a wonderful National Unity Day.
