Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken called Foreign Minister Mahmoud Ali Youssouf yesterday to thank him for Djibouti’s support in evacuating U.S. citizens from Sudan. The Secretary underscored the importance of the U.S.-Djibouti partnership and offered appreciation for Djiboutian leadership in the region and in resolving the crisis in Sudan. The Secretary and the Foreign Minister also discussed strengthening bilateral relations and economic cooperation.
