This week, Administrator Samantha Power will travel to Serbia and Kosovo to underscore the continued and longstanding U.S. commitment to both countries. This visit comes at a time of renewed forward momentum for Kosovo and Serbia in the EU-facilitated Dialogue to normalize relations, which the United States strongly supports.

During her visit to Serbia, the Administrator will meet with stakeholders and partners including government officials, civil society, business and tech leaders, investigative journalists, young leaders, and champions of disability rights. Administrator Power will underscore USAID’s support for Serbia’s path to European Union accession through our partnership to foster economic growth and democratic development.

During her visit to Kosovo, the Administrator will engage with stakeholders and partners including government officials, private sector representatives, young entrepreneurs and innovators, local activists, and small farm producers. Administrator Power will emphasize USAID’s strong commitment to help advance Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic integration by strengthening democracy, good governance and the rule of law, promoting reconciliation in support of Kosovo’s multi-ethnic democracy, and working  to catalyze new economic opportunities for the citizens of Kosovo.
