From May 3-5, Special Representative for Commercial and Business Affairs Dilawar Syed will travel to Houston, TX to meet with business leaders and local government officials. Additionally in Houston, Special Representative Syed will conduct site visits to innovative U.S. companies in strategically competitive sectors such as biotechnology.  He will also speak at a fireside chat hosted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce on the importance of ensuring local U.S. suppliers have opportunities in the global energy sector.  At the event, Special Representative Syed will underscore the importance of energy security and commercial partnerships with American companies in clean energy.

The trip is Special Representative Syed’s fourth stop on the ‘Commercial Diplomacy USA’ tour to support American jobs by expanding opportunities for U.S. companies, particularly those in critical sectors and underserved regions.
