Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield, U.S. Representative to the United Nations, met today in New York with Serbian First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dačić. Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield underscored the importance of the strong and enduring partnership between the United States and Serbia. Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield congratulated Foreign Minister Dačić on the historic, legally binding normalization agreement reached by Serbia and Kosovo. Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield underscored the importance of rapid implementation of both parties’ obligations under the agreement and reiterated the U.S. commitment to support Serbia and Kosovo as they pursue a predictable and peaceful relationship.
