Readout of Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield’s Meeting with Jonatan Vseviov, Secretary General of the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The below is attributable to U.S. Mission to the United Nations Spokesperson Nate Evans:

Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield, U.S. Representative to the United Nations, met today with Ambassador Jonatan Vseviov, the Secretary General of the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. They discussed areas of shared concern regarding accountability for the Russian illegal further invasion of Ukraine, and Russia’s misuse of its Security Council position.

Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield and Secretary General Vseviov agreed that Russia must be held accountable for its aggression against Ukraine, including its attacks on Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure and forced deportations of Ukrainian children. They reaffirmed the strong partnership between the United States and Estonia and pledged to continue addressing shared challenges.
