Under Secretary for Economic Growth, Energy, and the Environment Jose W. Fernandez is traveling to Toronto, Canada, April 3-4 where he will represent the United States at the U.S.-Canada Summit, hosted by the Eurasia Group and the Bank of Montreal (BMO) Financial Group. In Canada, Under Secretary Fernandez will deepen cooperation on energy, the environment and economic growth for more sustainable and equitable prosperity across North America. Under Secretary Fernandez’s trip will support U.S. efforts to build robust, responsible supply chains for the critical minerals and metals - such as those used in electric vehicle batteries - that are vital to U.S. economic prosperity and achieving our global climate goals.
