There were 10 notices published by the State Department in February, according to the Federal Register.

The most recent notice, 30-Day Notice of Proposed Information Collection: Request for Approval of Manufacturing License Agreements, Technical Assistance Agreements, and Other Agreements, Maintenance of Records by DDTC Registrants, Annual Brokering Report, Brokering Prior Approval (License), was submitted on February 28, 2023.

The State Department published 30 the month before, marking a 66.7 percent decrease for the current month.

The State Department is responsibly for international relations with a budget of more than $50 billion. Tenure at the State Dept. is increasingly tenuous and it's seen as an extension of the President's will, ambitions and flaws.

Notices are required documents detailing rules and regulations being proposed by each federal department. This allows the public to see what issues legislators and federal departments are focusing on.

Any person or organization can comment on the proposed rules. Departments and agencies must then address “significant issues raised in comments and discuss any changes made,” the Federal Register says.
