Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken led the U.S. delegation to the tenth round of the U.S.-Colombia High-Level Dialogue (HLD) in Washington, D.C. on March 27-28. The dialogue focused on strengthening our shared goals, highlighting the spirit of partnership, and designating future areas for inclusive engagement under this framework. Colombian Foreign Minister Álvaro Leyva led the Colombian delegation.

The two countries held discussions on expanding cooperation in the areas of migration, security, counternarcotics, human rights and equity, education, economic opportunities, energy transition, and climate action. The two leaders discussed U.S. support for the full implementation of the 2016 Peace Accord, and the U.S. role as International Accompanier of the Accord’s Ethnic Chapter.
