United States Trade Representative Katherine Tai will travel to Seoul, Republic of Korea on March 28 – March 31, 2023.

Ambassador Tai will be in Seoul to lead the U.S. Delegation to the Republic of Korea (ROK) as part of the 2023 Summit for Democracy, as well as to attend several meetings to further strengthen the U.S.-ROK economic and trade relationship.

On March 30, Ambassador Tai will speak at the Summit for Democracy’s Indo-Pacific Regional Anti-Corruption Meeting to highlight how the Biden Administration is working with our allies and partners to promote democracy, strengthen our institutions, and address corruption.

Ambassador Tai will also meet with the Republic of Korea’s Minister for Trade Ahn Dukgeun and Minister of Employment and Labor Lee Jung Sik. They will discuss shared priorities ahead of President Yoon’s visit to Washington, D.C. in April, as well as the ongoing negotiations for the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework (IPEF).

Ambassador Tai will return to Washington, D.C. on March 31.
