From March 18-25, 2023, Deputy Administrator Paloma Adams-Allen will travel to Paraguay and Peru to meet with national and local government officials, civil society and private sector partners, and USAID Mission staff. During her visit to Paraguay, the Deputy Administrator will open and provide remarks, alongside Ambassador Marc Ostfield, at a Local Works Learning Summit where participants from around Latin America and the Caribbean will share key lessons learned for strengthening local organization capacity and contribute to USAID’s broader efforts to localize U.S. foreign assistance. During her visit to Paraguay and Peru, the Deputy Administrator will gather field perspectives on advancing USAID priorities on localization; empowering Foreign Service Nationals; diversity, equity, inclusion, and access (DEIA); and private sector engagement
